The Practice of Yoga Nidra A Workshop
Our time together will include:
Welcoming - the practice of noticing, feeling and being with what is present
Invocational Vedic Chant
Sankalpa (intention)
Philosophy of Yoga Nidra
Integrative dyads - how to live Yoga Nidra
Body-sensing - a form of Hatha Yoga with the intention of feeling and sensing what's already there.
Yoga Nidra - a transforming process in which we systematically uncover and discard our self-limiting beliefs leading us to lasting healing and restoring us to innate wholeness.
Yoga Nidra practice opens us to an experience and recognition of our true nature which is unconditional Presence filled with pure joy, peace, happiness and intelligence alive and available to us right now.
Since Presence is eternally here, it is here for you to directly experience. Through this experience, you will realize that you are that which is eternally here, eternally present.
It is time to meet yourself, now.
Practical Details:
All Kula Yoga offerings are held at Running Wolf Center located in Longfellow neighborhood in South Minneapolis (See Location for More Details)
The parking lot is on the West side of the building.
I suggest you enjoy a breakfast that contains some protein about an hour before the workshop begins to insure the greatest degree of attention for yourself, for each other, and for me as the facilitator so that we may all mutually inform and impact the material at hand.
We'll take a 15 minute break at some point during the workshop, consider bringing a light snack if you'd like.
I have an abundance of blankets both wool and cotton but if you have a favorite 'blankie' - bring it.
I have Yoga mats but encourage you to bring your own.
Dress in layers, we will practice Yoga Nidra in savasana or a similar rrestorative pose for up to 45 minutes.
I have a few eye pillows for your use. If you have one, bring it. I have found it makes a difference to one1s overall level of support and attention.
There will be a handout, but bring a notebook and writing instrument if writing/drawing is useful to your on-going transformational process.
Workshop Fees
All Kula Yoga's offerings are paid for on a sliding scale, which is explained in detail here - Kula Yoga's Policy on using a 'Sliding Scale Fee'. As an alternative, or if you are new to Kula, we do offer a suggested fee until you have had a chance to experience the process of working from the sliding scale.
The suggested fee for this workshop is $70. If this fee is a hardship for you or you can contribute more, please refer to the sliding scale or call me directly for guidance or further inquiry (612-990-9642)
Workshop Registration
Please use the Kula Yoga Registration form for registering for the class. When filling out the form, enter the class name as 'Yoga Nidra Workshop'. Instructions for sending in your Workshop payment are included on the registration form.
