Yoga Nidra practice proposal

I am proposing that we meet monthly this year for Yoga Nidra practice and sharing as a way to:

  • Increase our attention span
  • Broaden our awareness of when and how we get hooked by the movement of the mind
  • Get better at remembering to point that sensation back into experiencing the profound peace of True Nature despite the hook


Why practice Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is one of the most direct practices of Self-inquiry and is designed after Patanjali's Yoga Sutra.
It is a profoundly transformative practice that leads to lasting psychological change, as well as physical and emotional healing.

After a regular consistent practice of Yoga Nidra we begin to embody Kula's rendition of Patanjali's Platform for Free Living which dissolves one's identifications and attachments to body, thinking, feelings emotions, personality, and conditioning and reveals our inherent ground of health and wholeness.

Proposal for this practice:

  • Meet the last Saturday of the month from 10:15 -12:15 except where there's a holiday

The basic template for the session:

  • 10:15 Personal Welcoming Time
  • 10: 30 Chanting Yoga Sutra
  • 10:40 Satsanga based on Patanjali Yoga Sutra
  • 10:50 - 11:30 Yoga Nidra set up and practice
  • 11:30 Share in circle specific insights, questions and new findings from the Yoga Nidra Practice
  • 12:00 Closing appreciations

Fee: Same fee you pay for a sutra session

Session will be included in the Kula Peace Project membership
